SNO.M.G!

It's been snowing for a few days now, we have about 10 inches to a foot and it's still coming down... that's a lot for us here in Western WA! Cash has had SO much fun playing outside with his neighbor friend JT. Whom i'm SO thankful for as Brandon is at work and i'm inside staying warm and cozy with Elsie and Scout =)

Here are a few pics but hoping to get more frome my neighbors camera soon!

At the Log Yard with Papa

Cash's recent obsession has been Loggers and Logging and of course, his #1 gift request for Christmas from Meme (NOT Santa, but MEME!), a REAL (ish) Logging truck with grapple hook and logs. So it was a no brainer the day Papa told us a REAL BIG BIG Log truck was going to be at the River to pick up some Logs he had sold. So he got geared up and ready to 'help'....

**Quick back story to explain, my grandfather owns property on the Snohomish River under the Trestle of Hwy 2, he runs WICK TOWING Co., started originally by my Great Grandfather. It is a tug boat company, thus access to the log yard, old growth logs etc... the logs that were being loaded up and sold on this particular day have been used in grandpa and great-grandpas booms for years and years. He said he thinks the oldest dates back to the 1930's. That's some NICE OLD TIMBER...

So.... We went to watch Papa run the skidder and load the log truck.

In true Bubba fashion he kept a pretty good distance once the machines were fired up... safety first!

He prefers to supervise, smart boy!

Before we left he said he needed to buck some logs for firewood for our fireplace at home. Such a big help!

All in All we had a GREAT day! Thanks Papa & Great Grandpa Billy!!

Elsie Rae is SIX MONTHS OLD!

It's hard to believe my little lady is half way to a year already! It has gone by so fast! I don't have stats just yet as her doc has been on vacation, (i will follow up once i get them next week), but i'm pretty sure she is still tall and thin for her age (with chubb in all the right places). She is auch a joy to have around. We truly are SO very blessed. **Update: 6 month well check stats: 15lbs 4 oz, 25th percentile, 25" tall, 25th percentile as well. My bug is teenie I guess, she just "looks" tall since she's so lean :)

She is the BIGGEST daddies girl!!! She recently has been known to mumble "mamamammamamama" when she's grouchy but I dont think it's for me, yet she'll throw out "DA DA DA DA DA" and giggle for him, clear as day... go figure right? I take it to be translated as

" Daddy, can i have your debit card, there are these shoes i have my eye on... pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease."
And yes, he's already falling for it.... LOL

I took her to get her photos taken by the fabulous www.HeatherLynnPhotograpie.com at Tra La Studios in downtown historic Snohomish.

Elsie giving Miss Heather "blue steel" at Tra La Studios ...

I adore Heather as a person and as an artist, well... she's amazing, see for yourself... here is a sneak peek....

Can you handle the cuteness????? Yeah, me either =)

Oh and daddy got a hair cut!

Meet Scout!

Oops I did it again... I got ANOTHER animal... I don't think anyone can blame me though. Much like 'Lil, Scout needed a new home... but unlike 'Lil he had a line of people just waiting to take him home. Lucky for me I think the big guy upstairs had this all planned out, with a little help from a teenie tiny Monkey that is most likely sitting on his lap.... THIS IS SCOUT ...

He is 8 months old and perfect for our family. I wasn't actively seeking out another doggy, in fact it took everything I had to try to NOT meet him but at the last minute I gave in and well.... now he's part of our family and I couldn't be happier. He is the sweetest boy and has healed my heart so much the past few days he has been here. We took him on a trial run and he passed with flying colors. The only 'thing' that isn't thrilled is our cat Pogo, i think she enjoyed being the "stand in Jack-Jack" since my snuggle love has fallen onto her... but honestly, she needs to get her butt outside and get some mice!

His previous Mama did the best job raising him, he is so good (knock on wood) - i'm sure i'll spoil and ruin him soon enough but for now i'm tryint to stick with the crate etc.. while Elsie is little, once she's bigger i'm sure he'll be sharing my pillow at bedtime and my car on errands. I'm so happy. Isn't this why we bought a farm house on acreage? :)
