Happy 31st Birthday Brandon James!

Yesterday was Brandon's 31st Birthday! The kiddos and I spent the day preparing gifts and making peanut butter snickers pie and reeses peanut butter cookies (as requested by Brandon). Cash was a BIG help in the kitchen, and Elsie took notes along with our kiki Pogos!






Once Brandon got home from work we opened gifts and sang him happy birthday then we dropped the kids off and had some ADULT FUN! I was going to take Brandon to dinner but he wanted to go somewhere without kids! So off to the bar we went! KID FREE FOR THREE WHOLE HOURS!! Don't get me wrong, we LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE our babies but sometimes you just need to get away! We had a nice time, eating burgers and enjoying a few beers while chatting with ADULTS! (sometimes I forget how! LOL) Big thank you to Scott for watching Bubbies and Jen & Lewis for watching Elsie ( her God Parents!)


It's hot today... Elsie is hanging out in her dipey with a cute matching bow Great Auntie Jo-Jo made her! Thank you Jo!!

Elsie Rae is TWO MONTHS OLD!

ok, so she turned two months a few days ago.. I'm a bit behind. We went to the doctor for her 2 month check-up last thursday and her stats are as follows:

10lbs 14 oz <52nd percentile> *Cash James was 12 lbs 10oz at his 2 month appt!

23 inches long <74th percentile>

15.24 inch head circ <49th percentile>

And practically perfect in EACH and EVERY way! =)

Elsie is growing so fast, she is very alert and loves to laugh and giggle at us. She really is so much fun. She is sleeping through the night already as well! She sleeps anywhere between 6 to 8 hours a night, nursing then going back to bed. She's a bit more needy during the day but i'm ok throwing her in one of my carriers to run errands, play with Cash or clean the house. She is such a mamas girl and just wants to be with me; which i'm perfectly content with. Here are a few pics from her 2 month birthday! =)








I'm also happy to report that our girls are FINALLY LAYING EGGS! Two to be precise! Although we think it's the same chicken we're hoping the other girls follow suit shortly!!

My little sweet pea....

I thought I would take a minute to blog about Elsie Rae. As a busy mom of TWO now I barely get onto the computer (thank goodness for cell phone APS!) When I do get online it's RUSH RUSH RUSH... so besides posting a few pics of my *almost* 7 week old I wanted to tell everyone a little bit about her. So here goes...


~Elsie is a MAMAS GIRL! She loves her daddy and will smile & talk to him but when she's tired (or hungry OBVIOUSLY) she WANTS HER MAMA! No one else will do, NO.MATTER.WHAT!

~She does NOT like to be put down. Thank goodness for my numerous carriers! If it wasn't for my moby wrap, ring sling or ergo my house would be an *even bigger MESS!

~Elsie is VERY strong, she holds her head up very well and even does a little "sit up" type move. She has come very close to rolling over, i'm HOPING that was a fluke as Cash could roll over at 2 weeks (no joke).

~She LOVES to smile and talk to us. She is very alert and happy!

~Elsie is a GREAT sleeper! She usually goes down for the night around 10pm and doesn't wake to eat until 4ish, but then goes back to sleep. God Bless her!

~She loves her milk. The girl can eat and eat and eat and eat and eat and eat... yeah... she's a piggie poo!

~Elsie loves her brother. She could watch him all day. She wriggles and squirms to get into position so she can see him. She loves to laugh and smile at him and finds his meltdowns espeically entertaining! I'm pretty sure that is what brought on her first giggle!



*Side note: Cash LOVES his sissy as well. He is always looking out for her. Gets VERY nervous when someone else is holding her and tells me all the time how he "loves his sissy". Today he even said
"I Looooooooooooove sissys blue eyes" (sweet boy)

~She loves to watch the ceiling fan and especially likes to look at it, and other things, THROUGH the mirror... that really cracks her up! =)

~Elsie also loves to be outside! we lounge in the shade of the big trees while Cash plays in the dirt with his trucks. It's a good life! <3



We are SO very blessed to have her and can't imagine our life without her!!!!

Elsie Rae is ONE MONTH OLD!

Elsie Rae turned one month old yesterday! Today we had her one month check up and her stats are as follows:

*Weight 9 lbs 4 oz (50th percentile)
*Height 21 1/2 inches (62nd percentile)
*Head Circ 14 1/2 inches (42nd percentile)
She is such a petite little lady!! Here are a few pics, she's growing So fast!
(Cash was 9lbs 3.5 oz and 23 inches at one month!)






















Cash had a big day today as well, he got to go to the Machias fire station to visit with my cousin Andy. He had so much fun taking a tour and driving the engines!!!














Oh and guess who got a BIG BOY haircut!!! =)

Here are some pics of the cutest kiddos EVER!(well in my humble non-biased opinion! lol) Elsie is such a sweet little lady and Cash is a doting big brother that is always concerned for her. We were lucky to have TWO WHOLE DAYS of sunshine this past weekend and our good friend Jason brought over his tractor ( Or Cash's tractor, depending on who you ask!) to clear part of the back acre. Cash loved watching the big big tractor hard at work! Hopefully summer will arrive soon and stick around a bit. I'm getting sick of this November weather!!
