Things have been pretty quiet around here. I've been feeling good. We've been out & about walking a bit thanks to the break in the rain & Cash has been happy as a clam. (he loves long walks) Brandon is decorating our bathroom. (pics to come whenEVER it is completed).
So I thought I'd share a pic of another member of our family, our "OUTDOOR" cat Pogos. She has been sneaking inside a lot lately when we let the dogs out. We adopted her from a friend because she was marking a Harley motorcycle (kitty is lucky she survived!) So of course she was to be a strictly OUTDOOR cat, yet no one told her.... so far we have let her in in small doses. Keeping a close eye and closing off the upstairs and our bedroom (carpeted rooms) just to be safe. Last night she was inside for a few hours and snuggled, purrrrred and even licked my hand *ouch* in thanks for the inside time. We mostly complied out of fear. Cats scare me, they are vindictive and have very sharp claws! A few times, when i stopped petting her, she dug her paws into my leg to "remind" me to keep it up. She's in charge. We all know that!
**Belly pics & updates coming soon!! Countdown to Cash's 2nd bday and the day we find out what flavor our little sweet pea is!!

Please sister!
Brandon and I have been talking to Cash James about being a big brother. Every day I show him my growing belly & talk about the baby. Tonight I asked Cash which he would prefer, a baby brother or a baby sister. He simply said, very politely : "Please sister". In the cutest stuffy nosed voice (he has a little cold). So I guess that is his vote.
What are your thoughts?? I'm torn. Brandon says Boy. I've heard girl a lot from friends. A few weeks and we'll know for sure. =)

13 weeks!
Yesterday I had my 13 week check-up, it was a big appt as we got to hear the heartbeat. It was strong & steady. AH, sweet music! Cash was having a rough time because my doctor was wearing a surgical cap (he's having a hat issue lately lol) and so he couldn't warm up to him. But once he heard the heartbeat he got excited and kept saying "baby baby baby". So cute!
We also set the appt where we get to find out the sex. February 11th is the big day. What is even more exciting, besides being the day after Cash's 2nd birthday, is that my MIL will be in town celebrating Cash's birthday and thus can join us for that appt! It will be an exciting week for sure!!
Here is my 13 week bump, although I had just had a fair share of teriyaki so not all of that is baby! haha

Nesting in the New Year!
First off I would like to wish everyone a Very Happy New Year! I am very excited for all that 2011 has to offer, especially the birth of our little sweet pea!
Although I am just on the brink of 13 weeks I am in FULL NESTING MODE!!! I don't know if it's because I finally beat the morning sickness blues (knock on wood) or because I never really decorated once we moved in; but I am a women on a mission! Operation MAKE THIS HOUSE INTO A HOME commences NOW!!! I'm thinking it's mostly that, as a SAHM' i'm here 24/7 and I get sick of looking at bare walls with no decor... either way, I have been plugging away.
Painting. Painting. Painting. Painting. Painting. I have paint in my hair. It looks like grey streaks. AWESOME!
Bargain hunting for curtains & curtain rods (thanks mom for the G.C.'s for Christmas!!)
Bargaining with my husband to build valances. Hang new curtains. Level. Drill. Edge. (you don't want to know what I had to bargain for! LOL j/k! Peanut butter cookies is all. haha)
I'm seriously obsessed. I've waited so long to do so much that I need it done NOW NOW NOW! Can you say IMPATIENT??
My biggest obsession as of late has been burlap. My close friends can attest, i've been emailing/texting ideas/pics etc.. i'm sure they are annoyed! I love it's natural look & feel. Brings a shabby/vintage vibe to my little farm house. I've ordered a few pieces off of etsy.com ( if you have never been on etsy.com you must go there NOW! GO!)
Although I plan to make some of my own burlap accents I have purchased a few to get my decor ideas in motion. Here are a few...
I ordered this pillow with a "J". I can't decide if it will go on my couch or my bed... we'll see once it arrives!
I ordered this banner in "blessed". I may also order (or make) it with Sweet peas name, once determined :)
This is my shower curtain. LOVE! I was going to make just a plain burlap one but found this and couldn't pass it up! I ordered it extra long to cover up my hideous blue tile that we aren't able to replace just yet!
I just found this coordinates pillow! What a great idea! I was thinking about having one made in the coordinates of the beach we were married at in Mexico. Or our home address... I may end up buying them as gifts too! What a great idea!!
I will soon be posting my before & after pics so stay tuned!! =)
